Quilt Finishing

You have blocks or a partially finished quilt top that your mom or grandmother started. Let us finish it. We can do as little or as much work as you need. We have fabrics to create the backing, batting and will turn that little pile of memories into a finished quilt that you can display and treasure. Be sure to have a quilt label made for the back of the quilt!

Quilt Labels

Document your quilt! You can include as little or as much information about the quilt as you like. This article Quilt Labels 101 gives a little more insight into the matter.

We can create coordinating pillowcases to go with your quilt or t-shirt quilt. Just takes a 1/2 yard of fabric for the focus fabric or let us select matching fabrics to go with your project. Please note that we would use quilt shop fabrics, which are subject to fading when laundered. Just keep in mind that the fabric we use, while 100% quilting cotton, is NOT the same as high quality pillowcases purchased from the box stores. These have a tendency to be pretty ‘wrinkly’ when laundered. Just sayin….

Pillow Shams

We are really not in the business of making bedding. What we can do is ‘quilt’ yardage. Then you can have your decorator make shams from this quilted fabric.

We can create a pillow with t-shirts, jerseys, dress shirts or pretty much anything you would like. Click PILLOWS for more information and details.

Quilted Tote Bags and Purses

Check out our patterns for quilted totes, purses, placemats, etc. by selecing “Quilted Items (Pillows totes, etc.)”. You supply the fabric, we do the quilting, you do the tote bag making!!!

Quilting/Stitching Price – by the square inch, just like quilts. Request a quote for quilting Tote bags or purses.

Yardage Quilting

This is where you send in your fabric; enough for the top and backing. We quilt the yardage, then you can take the quilted layer and create your own projects such as totes, bags, placemats, tablerunners, bibs, shams, or any other craft project. Pricing is the same as regular quilting, depending on the density of quilting that you request. This is perfect for creating ‘fabric’ to coordinate with your new nursery, dining room or other decor option.

Please note that purchasing two sheets the same size is NOT a great option. We need an additional 3″ all the around in order to load the quilt layers, or the finished quilt size will be several inches in each direction smaller than you might have wanted. Slinky/slimey feeling fabrics will NOT be accepted. they are hard to work with and are ‘squirreley’ when trying to line up.

Quilt Preparation

Any ‘extras’ that you have us do, such pressing, mending, squaring up, trimming threads or other special preparation; $20/hr.

Seam Backing

$10 per Seam to stitch, remove selvedge edges, square backing and press seams open. Fabric should be pressed, ready to work with.

Quilting Previously Tied Quilts

Tied quilts, can they be quilted?Usually, this just involves an hourly rate to remove the existing ties. You are more than welcome to remove them yourself before submitting the quilt to be quilted. We do this service “ALOT” on T-Shirt Quilts that were done by non-professionals. If you want your quilt finished in a professional manner, we can help you with this. We do have a special rate for the ‘utility style’ quilting that we provide on T-Shirt Quilts. Just ask. Click HERE for more info on working with Tied Quilts.
